Foundations Of Your Job

As a Senior Naval Designer at TWD, you are the main designer in a dynamic team of 10-15 Naval Designers, Hydrodynamic Engineers and project responsibles. You are in constant collaboration with your team and, together with your Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer, you are responsible for guiding a solid vessel design process. You make crucial decisions that lead to the creation of customized solutions to meet our clients’ specific needs for a wide range of vessels.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Translating client requests into solid vessel designs
• Acting as a sparring partner for the Naval Designers (and Hydrodynamic Engineers) in your team
• Guiding and delivering input 
• Safeguarding the quality of technical designs while focusing on manufacturability and the use of drafting standards
• Developing your knowledge on technical topics and sharing this knowledge with the team

You are an expert in vessel design using 2D and 3D modeling software. Your enthusiasm, eye-for-detail, and troubleshooting abilities drive the design process efficiently and proactively. Your natural inclination towards mentoring others enriches the team’s collective expertise. You are creative, passionate, quick learner and have strong technical insight. You are a good communicator that likes collaborative work, which makes you excel as a team player. You are self-driven, responsible, and committed to get the job done.

You are the perfect match for TWD if you also have the following skills and experience:

• You have 3-7 years of working experience as a Naval Designer, designing vessels using relevant drafting tools like AutoCAD/Inventor
• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in marine technology or mechanical engineering
