To further strengthen our team in Rotterdam and realize our mission to contribute to a better world by making construction easier, we are looking for Senior Designers!

What You Will Do

As a Senior Designer at TWD, you are the main designer in a team of 10-15 (Project) Designers and (Project) Engineers. Together with your Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer you are responsible for guiding the design process from concept to detail. You make crucial decisions in the design of unique structural and mechanical installation tools for a wide variety of on- and offshore construction projects. A glimpse of your responsibilities:

Translating client requests into good designs
Acting as a sparring partner for all Designers (and Engineers) in your team
Safeguarding the quality of technical designs while focusing on manufacturability and the use of drafting standards
Developing your knowledge on technical topics and sharing this within TWD

Who You Are

We are looking for smart and eager people with a practical backbone and the following profile:

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field
You have 1-2 years of working experience as a technical Designer
You already have experience with client communication and managing your own projects
You are a passionate, quick learner and have strong technical insight
You are skilled in using relevant drafting tools (at TWD we use Inventor, which we will teach you inhouse)
You are a communicative team player who can guide and train project members on the job
You are flexible and able to come up with ingenious designs
You are enthusiastic, self-driven, and eager to work in an entrepreneurial environment
You have a sense of responsibility to get the job done
