Business Developer (UK)

TWD provides method engineering and equipment design for various construction projects in the offshore, near-shore and heavy civils markets. Headquartered in the Netherlands, we cover the UK out of our London office. In order to grow our UK customer and project base, we are looking to strengthen our London team with a Business Developer.

Foundations Of Your Job

As a Business Developer, you are TWD’s eyes and ears to the offshore wind industry, where you spot new opportunities. As a spider on the web, you collaborate with sales and marketing, catching your client’s attention with the right marketing, convincing the client with an ingenious concept, and a good proposal and presentation meeting. While also developing cutting-edge new tools and services for the future of offshore wind, working together with the innovation team.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Identifying and pursuing potential leads
• Reaching out to (potential) clients
• Translating clients’ requests into simple, practical, and innovative solutions
• Making well-structured and appealing sales proposals
• Developing and implementing growth strategies

What Makes You Great

We are looking for a smart and eager person with a practical mind and the following profile:

• Having a network and experience in the UK contracting market
• Excellent communicators: verbal and written communication
• Hands-on approach, solutions minded
• The ability to sense and win commercial opportunities
• The ability to propose quick and simple technical solutions
• 3-6 years of working experience in B2B technical sales in the offshore, near-shore, and/or heavy civil industries

Working at TWD UK includes:

• Permanent contract
• Mutual probation period of 2 months
• A standard working week of 40 hours
• 24 days annual leave allowance based on full-time employment and exclusive of public/bank holidays
• Additional compensation for overtime (beyond standard working hours; all overtime is counted, and the employee can choose to have it paid out or exchanged for extra leave or a mix of both)
• Mutual notice period of 2 months
• The Company will comply with the employer pension duties in accordance with Part 1 of the Pensions Act 2008 (this will be arranged, no later than, after the 3rd month of work at TWD UK Ltd.)
