Temporary Works Design (TWD) creates custom-designed structures and tools to help you perform your offshore or heavy civil installation projects safely and on time. You can regard TWD as your problem solver. The reliable partner that provides cost-effective and suitable solutions, regardless to the time frame, or the complexity of the challenge. Selecting TWD as your partner will complement your project team’s capabilities and facilitate successful project executions.
Being well positioned in the maritime industry TWD has been selected for the retrofit engineering of new Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and fresh water cooling systems onboard a heavy lift supply and cargo vessel. With the new IMO 2020 regulations approaching, shipping companies and marine contractors seek solutions to outfit their vessels with cleaner exhaust gas and ballast water systems.
TWD has designed a hammock to support monopiles during transport. This innovative seafastening is suitable for monopiles with a diameter between 7 and 11 metres. In addition, it divides the forces on the tube more evenly. This allows contractors to safely transport various wind turbine monopiles with a thinner and therefore more vulnerable wall thickness.
