Supporting Arctic Reflections in Their Fight Against Global Warming

Arctic Reflections is committed to combating global warming by enhancing the thickness of Arctic sea ice during the winter months. Their innovative approach involves pumping large volumes of seawater onto the ice, aiming to increase its thickness. Thicker ice melts more slowly in the summer and persists longer, which enhances its ability to reflect sunlight compared to open water. This improved reflectivity is expected to bolster the Arctic’s role as a crucial heat shield, thereby helping to mitigate global warming.

TWD is proud to have played a role in this groundbreaking project. We have been instrumental in supporting Arctic Reflections with practical engineering solutions tailored to address their specific challenges. Our involvement included comprehensive project management, conducting feasibility studies, and tackling design challenges to ensure the project’s success. Our team worked closely with Arctic Reflections, ensuring that all aspects of the project progressed smoothly and effectively.
