Foundations Of Your Job

The Head of People and Culture will provide high-quality leadership and oversight on the development and delivery of TWD People strategy across international offices located in Rotterdam, London, Athens, Perth, and Taipei. Together with your team, the position manages the provision of effective and professional human resource (HR) services and advice. This includes the design and day-to-day implementation of relevant HR policies and strategic initiatives to ensure we recruit, retain, and promote highly skilled and motivated people in every area of our work. Key elements to the role will be the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and committed group of managers and their teams across several countries; be ‘hands-on’ when required; and encourage an organizational culture that supports effective behaviors and ways of working that demonstrate clear commitment to TWD’s values, mission and vision. 
 

The Head of People and Culture will contribute to TWD’s organizational learning and strategy development internationally and be an active member of the Organizational Management Team.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of HR experts responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR services globally, and further develop an effective business partnership model that is responsive and agile, and meeting expectations of internal stakeholders. 
  • Apply knowledge and expertise in specialist HR areas, providing innovative ideas and solutions. 
  • Lead on the development and implementation of TWD’s HR strategy, ensuring it meets organizational priorities and promotes diversity, inclusion, and quality among staff – periodically reviewing strategy outcomes to ensure it remains relevant to changing organizational needs and circumstances and stays linked to other support function/operational strategies. 
  • Develop and govern HR policies, procedures, and guidelines – ensuring all local required legislation is adhered to, and ongoing learning of HR policy practice takes place. 
  • Provide regular advice, guidance, and where necessary challenge management Team members on strategic people management, performance and development issues. 
  • Create and maintain key performance indicators – ensuring external good practice and thinking is reflected internally.  Introducing and overseeing the preparation and analysis of HR metrics and providing feedback that supports decision-making in specified areas.

You are passionate about leading people to enhance employee engagement and drive the establishment of streamlining processes across TWD’s organization of 300+ FTEs, located in Rotterdam, London, Athens, Pether and Taipei. You develop deep partnerships with our business stakeholders and within our HR and Talent Acquisition team.

You are the perfect match for TWD if you also have the following skills and experience:

  • You are fluent in Dutch (written and spoken).  
  • 10 + years of experience in talent and people roles as an HR generalist ideally within a high-growth focused company. 
  • Prior leadership experience, able to adjust at an individual level to get our people’s best. 
  • A master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Dutch labor laws and work processes, you can comfortably translate global business policies into the local market and work culture. 
  • International mindset and experience with working with international labor laws 
  • Experience with organization transformation and change management. 
  • You are comfortable being able to commute to the office most of the time to connect face to face with stakeholders.  
  • Strategic thinker willing to coach and mentor talent when needed but also trusting allow autonomy as a default way of working. 
  • Commercially minded and data-driven decision maker, who’s able to proactively solve roadblocks in a forward-thinking manner. 
  • Highly collaborative, partner to the leadership team. Able to provide thought leadership and counsel to senior leaders. 
  • A positive, open-minded individual who values diversity and believes strongly in creating an inclusive environment and work culture where our people feel listened to and taken care of. 
  • Strong communicator, willing to try new ways of business and to challenge implementations at board level from a People’s perspective.
