Design of the largest and most advanced template of its kind
CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE) awarded TWD the contract for the design of specialized pin pile installation equipment, a crucial component for the successful installation of the Hai Long project. This offshore wind farm, with a capacity of more than 1 GW, will use the state-of-the-art heavy lift vessel Green Jade to carry out the installation work.
Design Pre-Piling Template
TWD played a central role in the engineering and design of the installation equipment for the Green Jade vessel. A notable contribution from TWD was the development of a subsea self-levelling pre-piling template, designed for accurate and efficient placement of piles on the seabed. This innovative template can autonomously adjust its position to the contours of the seabed, ensuring the verticality of the installed piles. The scale and complexity of this template make it the largest and most advanced of its kind within the offshore wind industry.
Our engineers carefully designed this template to withstand the harsh marine environment and facilitate a smooth installation process. The template is a proof of TWD’s commitment to engineering excellence.
Furthermore, our team of specialists gave full support during the mobilization process, carefully managing each step to ensure the equipment was installed on deck smoothly and efficiently.
Project highlights
As the global wind energy sector expands, a shortage of vessels for handling bigger monopiles is foreseen. Simply scaling up isn’t enough.
