Foundations of Your Job

As project manager you are responsible for the delivery of a defined scope within time, budget and quality. You will be based at the TWD office in Taiwan and will be in direct contact with the client, and you plan how many teams you need, what the separate packages will be and follow-up on the execution. You collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Lead Engineers and Project Responsibles and make clear agreements on responsibilities while being the single point of contact with our clients. You are managing and interpreting the expectations of the client by listening and finding solutions where required from Engineering to Construction phase.  TWD Project Management – TWD 

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • Managing project progress and risk to ensure timely delivery. You closely follow up with all PRs of the individual design teams to monitor progress. You make sure that milestones are defined and are evaluated. Towards the client you keep open communication about priorities and expected deadlines. 
  • Managing budget and resources. The PM has an overview of the budget and manages the number of resources that are allocated to the projects. The PM makes sure that the client and EMs are properly informed about budget expectations. Internally the PRs of the individual scopes report to the PM.
  • Managing interfaces and information between stakeholders. The PM makes sure that information between the design teams is shared and that interfaces (vb. geometrical, assumptions, input data, requirements, typical design solutions, level of detail etc.) are shared and equalized. 
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and communication among teams. The PM defines the working agreements to make sure that all teams can effectively communicate and collaborate. This can include but is not limited to recurring meetings, data sharing setup, project management templates etc. 
  • Define and manage contractual agreements (legal liabilities, financial obligations). The PM makes sure that contractual agreements between TWD and the client are defined and followed. This means that the PM also manages the payment of performed works during the project and collaborates with the Finance department for follow-up an invoice.

What Makes You Great

As a Project  Manager at TWD, you bring a wealth of experience in client communication and managing multiple projects.
The Project Manager should have the following qualifications/skills/experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Offshore Energy or relevant industry managing project, operational (offshore) experience is a bonus.
  • Experience in the role of leading T&I operations with a developer or contractor. 
  • Good to know pile driving operations (vibro and impact) with lessons learned on managing risks. 
  • Educated with a university master’s degree in an engineering, maritime, or other technical discipline. 
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to communicate technical matters coherently. 
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable at presenting, building relationships, and influencing others, while working effectively across different cultures and geographical locations. 
  • Excellent coordination and cooperation skills; a team player who is willing and able to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge. 
  • Recognizes areas of improvement and is willing to actively contribute to implementing these changes with the different stakeholders.
