WTG Seafastening – Rentel

WTG seafastening designs completed in record time

For the Rentel OWF (309MW), TWD designed tower grillages, blade racks, nacelles, and blade yoke seafastening structures on the Sea Installer vessel. We reused an existing tower adapter to reduce the fabrication time of the tower grillage significantly. As our previous designs for Sea Challenger and Apollo couldn’t be used because of vessel damages, we designed the new structures in record time to meet the tight deadlines.

Our flexibility and dedication to completing the seafastening in time led to the whole project being designed, approved, built, and fitted in 11 weeks. TWD is proud to have contributed to a wind farm that annually provides 300.000 homes with green energy.

  • Designed, approved, built, and fitted in 11 weeks
  • Agile and creative way of working to complete the project on time

As the global wind energy sector expands, a shortage of vessels for handling bigger monopiles is foreseen. Simply scaling up isn’t enough.
