Overboarding System for Trailing Suction Pipe (TSP)

For three new Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers, TWD closely collaborated with Van Oord in designing a new overboarding system for the Trailing Suction Pipes (TSP) to be installed on their dredgers. TWD engineers made a custom detailed design of the overboarding system, consisting of two A-frame gantries and a trunnion gantry, ensuring that the dredging operation has a robust and efficient deployment. TWD was also responsible for the complete 3D design integration of all the elements of the TSP system, including the trailing suction pipe, winches, and winch cable routing. By performing detailed workability studies and continuous clash checks during the design phase, TWD helped enabling a smoother enhanced design process.
