Safe and efficient crew transfer
Barge Master and Bosch Rexroth introduced the impressive Motion Compensated Gangway (MCG) that provides continuous access to any offshore structure. TWD significantly contributed to the development of detailed structural designs of three MCGs.
We first designed an MCG that was installed in combination with a height-adjustable pedestal and could be mounted on the Vos Start vessel permanently. To allow for more flexibility on the vessel, our teams later designed two other gangways with a flexible pedestal design. The MCGs compensate vessel motions in significant wave heights up to 3m, by actively telescoping, luffing, and slewing the gangway. This makes sure that crew transfer is always safe and efficient in offshore operations.
