Caisson Installation – Nador West Med Port

Submerged caisson installation

For the construction of the port of Nador West Med in Morocco, TWD provided its marine engineering expertise. We advised on how to efficiently install caissons using a semi-submersible barge. Our marine engineers conducted thorough marine analyses to accomplish a safe installation. On top of this, we also designed various temporary works including skidding grillages and caisson access structures.

To have the whole installation procedure run smoothly, TWD clarified all the steps of the operation from the load-out of the caissons to the final installation of the seabed. Our extensive marine engineering support led to a successful caisson installation.
