TWD assisted AMS with a Rope Pick Robot

To improve mooring efficiency and safety, TWD helped Automooring Mooring Solutions (AMS) develop a smart Rope Pick Robot (RPR).

The AMS Rope Pick Robot is a mooring concept system designed to autonomously connect mooring lines on the quayside. With the aim of maximising the range of motion, TWD engineers employed a complex array of hydraulic and electrical systems to fulfill the kinematic functionalities of operation.

The RPR solution is scalable for small or large vessels and is fully automated with the integrated vision recognition AI. This allows bollards on the quayside to be recognised automatically and makes the operation faster, easier, and safer for all.
