Job Description

Lead Hydrodynamic Engineer

Are you passionate for marine simulations, have in depth hydrodynamic knowledge and are ready to lead a team as the next step in your career? Are people-skills one of your top strengths? And are you motivated to work for a fast growing, dynamic, and international scale-up that contributes to the energy transition? This skillset, “joy of simplicity” mindset, and your entrepreneurial attitude make you a perfect fit for TWD!

The dynamics of the job

As a Lead Hydrodynamics Engineer, you will manage multiple projects. Your team (10 – 15 people) will be responsible for defining the methodology of offshore operations/installations. You are also in charge of the planning of new requests and client relations. Together with your teammates you uncover the driving factors behind installation challenges of our clients. You are the in the lead of defining the best work method and way to simulate it, accurate and efficiently. You will act as a sparring partner for your team member and need your hard and soft skills. A challenging job that requires day-to-day guidance and coaching in personal as well as professional development. A responsible and satisfying job for passionate and creative people who want to be challenged and have some fun.

At TWD we love to keep things simple and practical, so during the whole design process you challenge yourself and your teammates to get away from your desk, go out there, and see with your own eyes what you have been working on.

Of course, your job is not set in stone. You are encouraged to define for yourself which tasks are required to meet these responsibilities. The same holds for your development. We highly value your (career) development and encourage you to take the lead. You will develop yourself on-the-job, but you can also follow relevant workshops and/or training to acquire the knowledge and skills you are interested in or need in your job.
