Finance Manager

Are you a real “people manager” who loves to play a key role in taking our Finance team to the next level in a fast-paced environment? Are you enthusiastic to work in a rapidly growing and ambitious international scale-up that plays an important part in the energy transition? And, of course, are you an experienced Finance professional with a track-record in accounting? If the answer is yes, then we are looking for you!

Job Foundations

TWD is rapidly growing worldwide. To make our Finance team future proof, we are looking for a seasoned Finance professional who can guide our Financial Controller, two Financial Administrators and Financial Support at our HQ in Rotterdam in the transition to a solid team in which our core values Fun, Development, and Happy Clients are reflected. Seeing your team grow and develop is what gives you energy.

As an important sparring partner of our Daily Management Team, you translate financial numbers into accurate and practical solutions. You challenge the status quo to ensure a reliable financial administration and healthy financial position of all entities within TWD Group. You make sure that our international growth ambitions are met in a financially sustainable way by advising the Daily Management Team about the start-up of new business activities in the Netherlands and/or abroad. You will do this alongside the Manager Enabling Services, who represents Finance in the Daily Management Team and whom you will report to directly.

Part of the transition in becoming a valuable partner for our international business is taking the lead in optimising existing financial processes and procedures. Because of our rapidly growing nature, this also means identifying how processes and procedures can be made more efficient as well as creating them from scratch. Our Financial Controller will support you in this. Together with her you are responsible for the ‘typical’ accounting responsibilities such as:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports according to Dutch GAAP
  • Providing balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
  • Composing (consolidated) financial statements for TWD Group and per entity
  • Filing tax returns including payroll tax, VAT, and corporate tax
  • Involvement in the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting
  • Preparing for the annual audits by our external auditor

What Makes You Great

Because of our complex financial administration, we are looking for someone who can keep up in a fast-paced, international environment in which not everything is set in stone yet. You are flexible to re-direct the Finance department in case of sudden changes and rapid organisational developments. You are a self-starter who can work independently in a dynamic setting with stakeholders ranging from worldwide operations, clients, external providers, the bank, our accountant, to local tax authorities. We value integrity, intuition, and organisational sensitivity in decision-making. With your entrepreneurial mindset you enjoy to further shape this position in line with TWD’s growth.

You are the perfect match for TWD if you also have the following skills and experience:

  • You have 7-10 years of relevant working experience and a degree in Business Administration, Finance & Control, Accountancy or equivalent
  • You are familiar with Dutch GAAP/IFRS and consolidation
  • You are a strong analyst who can make complex financial data transparent by using accounting software, Excel, and PowerBI
  • You are known for your integrity, intuitive decision-making, and organizational awareness
  • You are a communicative team player who can step-up as a true leader of the Finance team
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
