Business Developer (Japan)

TWD is expanding its services in Japan and looking for a Business Developer, who will be the driving force behind the realization of TWD’s further growth ambitions in the Asia Offshore Wind market. As a Business Developer, you will need to use your technical know-how to detect opportunities for TWD’s design services, create and maintain a strong relationship with our customers, and advise on the short and long-term strategy.For 3 years, TWD has an office in Taiwan. It started as a Sales office to expand our services within Asia. Now it has grown to an operational engineering office with 15 engineers. You will be working in the commercial department of Asia, with two Business developers based in Taiwan and one in Japan. South Korea will be next!

Foundations Of Your Job

As a Business Developer, you are TWD’s eyes and ears to the offshore wind industry, where you spot new opportunities. As a spider on the web, you collaborate with sales and marketing, catching your client’s attention with the right marketing, convincing the client with an ingenious concept, and a good proposal and presentation meeting. While also developing cutting-edge new tools and services for the future of offshore wind, working together with the innovations team.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Stay up to date with what happens in the offshore wind industry
• Develop smart construction methodologies for a variety of offshore wind-related projects
• Develop concept designs of practical installation equipment, collaborate with the “Innovations-team” to materialize your ideas
• Initiate relevant marketing campaigns to grab your client’s attention and develop those together with the marketing team.
• Meet with future clients and present the solutions TWD offers to them
• Initiate new and maintain existing TWD client relations
• Spot opportunities and secure new TWD projects
• Develop yourself in the commercial team

What Makes You Great

We are looking for a smart and eager person with a practical mind and the following experience:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• You have 3+ years of working experience in offshore
• You are a creative problem solver with a commercial mindset
• You have a drive and want to develop
• You are flexible and able to come up with ingenious solutions
• You have a sense of responsibility to get the job done
• Enjoy working with the team in an autonomous approach
• Nice to have is a sketching mindset to customers during a presentation
