Tideway has successfully jointed a sub-sea cable in the Hornsea One offshore wind farm project. TWD supported Tideway with the engineering works for the conversion of the cable lay deck layout o/b the Connector for this job.
TWD designed multiple structures for the jointing spread and assisted Tideway with the class approval, fabrication and mobilization works. The structures included jointing shelter seafastening, overboard chutes, winches, HPU, cable highway supports and sheave posts. By careful positioning of these structures the team managed to efficiently utilize the limited deck space of the Connector and create a fully functional jointing spread.
In the best teamwork spirit between TWD and Tideway, all works were carried out efficiently and enabled the Connector to sail four weeks after project initiation.
TWD congratulates Tideway with the successful completion of the jointing operation, and we look forward to extending our cooperation through new exciting projects in the future.
