Last week, three TWD-designed lifting frames were delivered to the Broekman site in Rotterdam, ready for mobilization. The frames will assist with the installation of anchor assemblies for a fresh water pipeline between Cyprus and Turkey. The rectangular frame will be used to lift the anchors, each with a weight up to 240 tons. The buoy frame, with the cage-like shape, is equipped with ballast weight to bring the buoys to their final depth. Under water, both the buoy as the anchor will be hydraulically released. The third frame, the A-frame, will be used to lower a 16 Ton weight to the seabed, which will be used as anti-twist system for the crane block. This project is being executed as a Design & Construct project and we are excited to see it in action.
