TWD supported Jan De Nul with the wind turbine generator (WTG) installation for the Nobelwind (Bligh Bank 2) project that included 51 wind turbines. For this project, the Vole au Vent jack-up vessel was used to transport and install as many as eight sets of wind turbines per trip. Reusing the six already existing seafastening structures, we redesigned and performed structural integrity checks. This made sure that the existing structures were fit-for-purpose and tailored to the vessel and tower interfaces.
Additionally, we delivered seafastening solutions for the monopiles, transition pieces on the Vidar vessel.
Previous productive collaborations with the Jan de Nul team and our engineers’ smart designs ensured the successful and smooth completion of the Nobelwind (Bligh Bank 2) project. The farm has 165 MW capacity and annually supplies 186.00 homes with green energy.
