Pre-Piling Template and Installation Engineering – Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm

Design and engineering of a large-scale pre-piling template

TWD delivered the design and engineering of a pre-piling template and supporting installation equipment for the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. The template is used to guide the installation of pin piles for jacket foundations during offshore construction activities.

Fengmiao is a 500 MW offshore wind project developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, with pin pile installation works executed by CDWE. The project includes 33 jacket foundations supporting 15 MW turbines supplied by Vestas.

Project scope

The engineering work started early in the project, allowing key installation requirements to be addressed upfront and preventing the pre-piling phase from becoming a potential bottleneck later in the project. The design was developed and finalized in close alignment with CDWE.
