Jacket Seafastening Grillages – Fengmiao I

Conceptualization and design of seafastening grillages for the transportation of jackets

TWD has completed its first collaboration with SK Oceanplant (SKOP) on the conceptualization and design of seafastening grillages for the transportation of jackets for the Fengmiao I Offshore Wind Farm from Korea to Taiwan. 

The jackets were planned to be transported as full or semi-assemblies with load-out operations scheduled to begin at the end of 2025 and throughout 2026 using Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs). 

All jacket seafastenings were based on tailored designs that ensured safe and efficient load-out and transit without welding to the jackets. TWD’s solution prioritized weight optimization and operational efficiency while ensuring structural integrity throughout the transportation operations.
