Our safe and functional seafastening solutions range from a simple bolted connection, to a fast and modular hydraulically actuated clamping mechanism. TWD’s seafastening designs aided the transport and installation of wind farms such as Triton Knoll, Changhua, Borkum Riffgrund II, Nobelwind,  and Sandbank. Our seafastening range includes: 

  • Cantilevered Blade Substructures 
  • Jackets
  • Skidding
  • Towers

TWD designs bespoke templates that simplify pile installation. The design of each template is not only influenced by the piling methods, but also the environmental and soil conditions, as well as any client-specific requests. We have provided templates for offshore wind projects such as St. Brieuc, Baltic II, Borkum West II, and St. Nazaire, to name a few. Possible template specialisation and attributes include: 

  • Pre piling
  • Drilling
  • Pin pile
  • Offshore substation (OSS) template
  • Self-leveling


Monopile upending designs vary based on the methodology and monopile size. The upend cradle or bucket defines a rotation point, such that controlled and stable upending by a crane can always be assured. A sample of projects and windfarms we have designed upending solutions for include St. Brieuc, Yunlin, Changhua, and Borkum Riffgrund II. We can help you with:  

  • Fixed bottom beam structures
  • Extendable bottom beams
