We’d like to congratulate DEME on a successful start to the turbine installation on Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm in the UK.
TWD designed the seafastening structures for the towers, nacelles, and blade racks. By cantilevering the blade racks at the back of Wind Osprey, we freed up substantial deck space. This enabled the ship to carry components for five turbines per trip.
Our engineers finished the project proudly by witnessing the smooth first load-out at ABLE Seaton Port!

For the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, TWD was commissioned by Sapura Energy to design the upending hinge that has now successfully installed the world’s largest monopile.
Van Oord top duo Aeolus and Svanen successfully completed an offshore wind farm in August 2017. TWD did the design of a monopile gripper frame for diameters up to 11 m, hydro-hammer support frame and noise mitigation system support frame for the heavy lift vessel Svanen. Hammer and gripper frame were equipped with skidding systems on 2 tracks that were integrated in the hull of the vessel.
