To provide marshalling space for the Neart Na Gaoeithe offshore wind farm, GRAHAM is building a 171-meter extension of the Caledon East Wharf at the Port of Dundee. The new wharf will help increase the offshore wind capacity of Scotland.
TWD helped design the installation method of 126-pile grid and a self-supporting piling gate. We are excited to see that the two double-level gates are now on site installing the first piles!

September 28, 2017VolkerStevin UK’s combi-wall piling gates, as designed by TWD, have been awarded with the Innovation Award during the Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo. The exhibition took place at ExCeL, London on 27th & 28th September 2017. The innovative first in class piling gate, designed to install over 700 piles on the DOVER WESTERN DOCKS REVIVAL PROJECT, skids forward autonomously from the crane and hydraulically adjusts its position to prepare for the next pile. Working parallel to the crane shortens the critical path and results in a significant increase of the projected piling outputs.
