As a Design Engineer at TWD you design unique structural and mechanical installation tools for a wide variety of on- and offshore construction projects. Each design is a team effort: to translate the client requirements into a functional design, you participate in brain-storm sessions, make sketches and hand calculations and elaborate these concepts into detailed calculation models and 3D visualizations.
The impact of your creativity on a contractor’s installation project is significant, which challenges you and your team on a daily base. The fast-paced projects require your involvement from design to construction, which provides a quick and satisfying reward for your team efforts.
Within TWD we are continuously improving the quality of our designs and optimizing our workflow. In this function you will contribute to that by being part of the ‘Quality department’. In practice, this will mean that you will gather input on things that can improved from within the projects, overlook the ongoing ‘improvement tasks’ and spent time yourself on templates/procedures/work processes/workshops/etc. Initially you will be trained both as Engineer and Designer and mainly work on projects, after that you will become a member of the ‘Quality department’ and will spent up to 50% of your time on quality related works.
Working at TWD means working in a friendly environment amongst creative, talented and ambitious people. You work in a young, yet professional team where you are offered possibilities to develop yourself while working on challenging and interesting projects. Your job is varied and you are involved from design to execution, in major installation projects of diverse leading (offshore) contractors. We work hard to deliver quality and finish projects in time, but there is also time to have coffee and lunch together and to enjoy fun group activities on a regular basis.
